This later Barker archtop was made in Bartonville, IL in 1984 with the help of Bill Cook, who took over Barker guitars after Bill Barker's passing. It has a beautiful blonde spruce top and maple body with the standard 17" lower bout, a 1 3/4" wide nut, is 25" scale, and, as with most Barkers, is amplified with the help of the highly regarded DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1100 adjustable floating pickup as origional equipment. This guitar has a warm and woody acoustic sound that will make you apreciate it's acoustic properties unique to archtop jazz guitars in general, and Barkers in particular.
