This instrument was manufactured by the Kay Musical Instrument Company as a house brand for Montgomery Wards. The guitar featured here is a higher end Sherwood distinguishable by the blonde finish, bound f holes, and quality Kluson tuners. Tortise and cream binding on the top nicely compliment the tortise headstock. Single ply cream binding adorns the back. The top is solid spruce while the back and sides are laminated flame maple. Lower bout measures 17 inchs across. Serial number reads 8399 K50.
